Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced WordPress Developer with expertise in WooCommerce to join our growing team. As a remote, full-time developer based in Pune, you’ll be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites with a strong focus on WooCommerce-based eCommerce solutions. You’ll work closely with our design, content, and marketing teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and customize WordPress websites with a focus on WooCommerce functionality.
- Build and maintain custom themes and plugins for WordPress.
- Create custom WooCommerce product pages, checkout flows, and payment gateways.
- Optimize eCommerce websites for performance, responsiveness, and security.
- Integrate third-party tools and APIs into WooCommerce.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress and WooCommerce.
- Implement SEO best practices to improve website performance and visibility.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure websites are visually appealing and user-friendly.
- Regularly update and maintain website content, plugins, and integrations.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of proven experience as a WordPress Developer with knowledge of WooCommerce.
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Experience in developing and customizing WordPress themes and plugins.
- Familiarity with WooCommerce hooks, filters, and action hooks.
- Proficiency in working with popular page builders such as Elementor or WPBakery.
- Strong knowledge of eCommerce best practices, including performance optimization and UX design for eCommerce.
- Ability to integrate and troubleshoot third-party services, such as payment gateways and shipping APIs.
- Familiarity with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of version control (Git) and deployment processes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with remote teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with WooCommerce Subscriptions, WooCommerce Bookings, or other complex WooCommerce extensions.
- Familiarity with server management, CDN configuration, and website hosting environments.
- Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, WooCommerce Analytics).
- Knowledge of website accessibility standards (WCAG).
